The Dedication and Experience You Need During a Difficult and Emotional Process

Amy has focused her practice exclusively in the areas of family and matrimonial law, including complicated custody proceedings, complex equitable distribution matters, and pre/post nuptial agreements. She is focused on maintaining a respectful and thoughtful approach to her clients' needs during a difficult and emotional process and attempts to diffuse situations before they can escalate. Amy is direct and practical, working with her clients to educate them about the process, but also managing their expectations by providing her clients with sufficient knowledge about the law in an effort to assist them in reaching a resolution that best suits the client. When judicial intervention is necessary, Amy's thorough preparation, dynamic understanding of the court system and knowledge of the law enables her to fervently advocate for her clients. Amy routinely appears in Supreme and Family Courts in Rockland, Westchester, Putnam and Orange Counties representing her clients through all phases of litigation. Amy has also appeared for oral argument in the Appellate Division, Second Department.

In addition to her dedication to her matrimonial and family law clients, Amy serves as an Officer of the Rockland County Women's Bar Association for the past six years and as a sustaining Board Member since 2010. In her capacity as a Board Member, she is instrumental in the development of numerous programs that serve the legal community of Rockland County. Amy also serves as a board member of the Attorney's for the Children Advisory Committee for the Ninth Judicial District since 2017, a role that she takes seriously given the effects it has on the most vulnerable class of clients. Amy participates in various bar associations in Rockland and Westchester Counties, serving on subcommittees of various sections for the RCBA and RCWBA, and contributing to materials and programming for continuing legal education seminars. She has served as program chair for the NYSBA, Family Law Section's Continuing Legal Education section on Basics of Matrimonial Law.
